India is predominately a Hindu country. Yet, there are pockets where Buddhism is the religion of choice. And that includes Darjeeling, located in the Northeastern part of the country, nestled in the Himalayas.
Perched on the hill just above the main village of Darjeeling, is a temple surrounded by prayer flags, bells and monkeys. It was there that I snapped this photo as flags fluttered in the mountain air and people rang the bells to make their wishes and prayers heard.

Beth

You can -almost- hear the bells. Wouldn’t it be great if you could? Great shot…thanks!
