One of the things I look for in a travel top is how small it will pack down and how versatile it is – i.e. how many uses can I get out of it on a trip?
The Ibex OD Lyric long-sleeve tee is made of a lightweight New Zealand merino. So lightweight, in fact, that you’d likely not know it’s wool at all.
And because it is so lightweight/thin, it packs down small and is quick drying (yes, you can rinse it out at night and it will be dry by morning). You can wear it as a base layer or in warmer climates when you need just a bit of warmth on your arms. So, yeah, pretty versatile.
It’s available in 3 colors, Deep Twig, Deep Shadow and Ebony/Heather Grey, all very conducive to travel. They’re relatively muted colors so you won’t totally stand out in a crowd, and they won’t show a bit of dust from your pony cart ride in the Burmese countryside.
Other nice touches include a Tree of Life print, featured in the front, and drawstrings that hang from the scoop neckline (though I haven’t found these “practical” it does set this apart from other scoop neck tees).
The OD Lyric is machine washable though it will shrink a bit in the dryer (whoops!).
Admittedly, this shirt is a bit pricey, (available on Amazon for about $110), but Ibex is known for high quality and long-lasting clothing. It’s a little too soon to tell, but I hope to have this in my closet for years to come.
Travel Well,
Beth
