Wanderlust and Lipstick is developing an exciting series of video programs to open the door for women travelers to stretch their boundaries and follow their dream journeys.

Purpose: Beth Whitman has been teaching workshops for women travelers for more than 17 years. During this time, and throughout her 20 years of travel, she has come into contact with both courageous and timid women who are interested in traveling safely and with purpose.

Each program in the series covers topics that will help add depth to the experiences of women travelers. They will encourage and inspire these adventurers to take the leap and plan a grand adventure.

Beth will introduce viewers to other cultures and she will uncover insider tips by talking with fellow women travelers, on location, who have learned their own lessons during their travels around the globe. Each segment helps to open the door to taking the next step by meeting up with travelers, discussing experiences, providing useful information, and discovering cultures and lands that are approachable and fascinating to visit.

Subject: The programs will focus on personal experiences and discoveries as told by women travelers while they are on the road. Viewers will also meet locals in all different locations to find out their point of view on how travelers can be more approachable as well as their insight on how to best explore their region. Number of programs in series: 6 x 30 minutes.

Audience: The Wanderlust and Lipstick video series will be produced for national television and internet broadcast, and DVD programming. The programs are being produced for the general public with special emphasis toward women travelers.

Production Plan: Completion of 6 x 30 minute programs would be approximately 10-12 months from project start.

Distribution: The Wanderlust and Lipstick video series will be marketed locally, nationally and internationally. A major distribution network will be established with specialty distributors for broadcast, DVD, travel, education and internet.

Host: Beth Whitman has backpacked through the Himalayas, and trekked Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. She has ridden a motorcycle solo from Seattle to Panama; driven the AlCan Highway to Alaska and maneuvered the back roads of France’s Dijon region all as a solo traveler. Her travel articles and photos have appeared in newspapers and magazines including BMW Magazine, Sound Rider, Perceptive Travel and Transitions Abroad. She is the author of Wanderlust and Lipstick: The Essential

Guide for Women Traveling Solo, the publisher of www.WanderlustAndLipstick.com and the travel blogger for the Seattle Post Intelligencer newspaper. Beth will be releasing two new books in 2008 – Wanderlust and Lipstick: For Women Traveling to India, and Wanderlust and Lipstick: For Women Traveling with Children. She has been teaching travel classes in the Seattle, WA area for more than 17 years including her very popular class, For Women Traveling Solo.
