It’s true that I’m generally quite practical when it comes to travel. And that my trips lean more towards adventure (hiking, camping and trailblazing) than shopping. But I’m not immune to setting off for a big city like Paris and spending my days in museums and evenings in cafes and restaurants soaking up the local culture. In those cases, my sport sandals won’t do.
If you’re looking for a comfy, yet stylish, shoe for a long day of sightseeing, try the Maras from Aravon. These closed clogs are easy to slip on and off yet still fit snugly enough on your foot that you won’t lose one in the middle of traffic on the Avenue des Champs Elysées.
The uppers are decorated with a simple floral design and the 1 3/4 ” heel will give you just a little extra height (I need all I can get!).
These really do make a perfect dress shoe for travel because you can comfortably wear them for an extended period of time. Along with a pair of those sport sandals, you’ll be all set with your two pairs for that next trip! These retail for about $150 on Amazon.
