prAna Clothing was first started as a manufacturer of yoga and climbing wear. Functional and inspiring, yet practical. (prAna, by the way, comes from the Sanskrit word meaning breath or life.)
In its 17 years of manufacturing clothes, it’s grown beyond its function as simply a yoga and climbing clothing company. I find them to be great travel clothes. They are well made, they suit my funky/international-style of dress, yet they are really comfortable.
The Chloe top (above) is the perfect example of this. It’s light and layers easily. If I’m heading to the mountains, I wear a short-sleeved t-shirt underneath and a light jacket over it. I can then strip off any one layer if I warm up quickly.
It’s also made in the U.S.
The other prAna item in my closet is the Rochelle top.
This sweater/sweatshirt is a cowl-necked long top that keeps me nice and warm during the spring when the temps drop at night. I can wear it out for a weekend brunch, lounge around the house in it or wear it on a long flight, where it will nearly act as a blanket and keep me all snuggly warm.
The neck and waist have a drawstring for added warmth.
Though it drapes loosely, it’s still got a feminine touch to it.
If you’re like me and thought that prAna was only about yoga, think again. Their wide range of styles this season will make you rethink what their awesome line of clothing has to offer in every day wear.
These and other prAna clothes are available on Amazon.
Travel Well,
Beth

I love prAna clothing too. Suits the casual environment of Silicon Valley and my personal style. Comfortable without being messy.
