Putumayo South Africa – Various Artists
It’s World Cup Soccer time and all eyes are on South Africa. Makes sense that the folks over at Putumayo would release this compilation of music from SA. This historically troubled and politically-charged country has often churned out internationally recognized musicians. A number of them, including Miriam Makeba and the Soweto Gospel Choir, are featured on this upbeat CD.
