A little lounge-like, a little like Madelyn Peyroux, Paris to Cuba is comprised of a sultry selection of tunes that are meant to be ethereal. It’s pleasant. And I don’t mean that in a bad way – it’s just not passionate, like you might hope to find with a CD with Cuba in its name. Definitely background music but lovely background music just the same!
