I traveled A LOT earlier this year, having been abroad for most of March – May and then running domestic tours in June.
I therefore made a conscious decision to stick around Seattle for the summer (and the fall, too).
I lucked out because this summer we had the most amazing weather, better than we’ve had in a long time. Seattleites have actually all been grumbling that we’ve been robbed of summer for the past few years. But this year? The nice weather has extended well into September – just a couple of days ago it was 90 degrees! This sun and warm weather lover has been digging it.
Last night capped it off for me when Jon and I attended a dinner at a home on Lake Washington in Bellevue. The home was stunning but the view? Yowza. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why we endure winters in Seattle – because we DO have a few months of beauty that will knock your socks off.
Thank you weather gods for holding out this long and showing us another gorgeous Seattle sunset before the dark days of winter are upon us.
