Nat Geo Traveler Writing Contest

July 13th, 2007

If you’re a student and an aspiring travel writer – you have an opportunity to enter a contest with National Geographic Traveler and to win a trip to Mongolia!

The magazine is requesting a 300-word essay on an experience that moved you, excited you or changed you. You can enter the contest online, although I’ll be darned if I could find a deadline.

The winning writer will travel to Mongolia with National Geographic Traveler’s Editor-in-Chief, Keith Bellows. And, he or she will have their story published on the Nat Geo Traveler website.

You can see more info here.

Happy Travels!

Meg kindly pointed out to me in an email that the deadline info is under “The Rules”. Here they are: Contest begins June 13, 2007, and all entries must be received by 5 p.m. [PST] on December 31, 2007. Entries become the property of the Sponsor, National Geographic Society (”NGS”), and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Good Luck!
