Mama Tembo Tours

I recently became aware of a woman and her African safari tour company, Mama Tembo Tours. A Canadian citizen, Leslie Nevison spent her teen years in Ireland and, it appears, most of her adult life traveling the world and running tours in Tanzania. She’s got a life story that many of us would be jealous of!

Her tours are tailored for individuals and private groups of family and friends as well as special-interest groups such as photographers and birders and, she particularly enjoys women-only groups!

She’s obviously well versed on the bush and her website includes tons of information about the region, the tour operators she uses, maps, photos and her own travel articles. I must admit that a safari has not been high on my travel-priority list, but after perusing her website, I’m thinking twice! She makes it look so easy and beautiful!
