I Left My Heart…

November 8th, 2007

Not really. But I did have a lovely stay in San Francisco.

After my Alamo visit, I jumped over to the Mission District and (unofficially) couchsurfed with my friend Mary Anne (not to be confused with Mary-Anne in Alamo!). What a host! She cooked, she gave me the Mission District tour and she accompanied me to my speaking engagement at Books, Inc.

I also got to catch up with my old friend, Connie, whom I grew up with in New Jersey. She works at the Embarcadero Center downtown on the 26th floor. Great view.

Here are some of the highlights of my couple of days there:

The graffiti photos were taken down an alleyway that I had passed a half dozen times before but hadn’t noticed. Mary Anne took me there and showed me these amazing walls that are covered in “graffiti” - actually beautiful art that just happens to be impermanent in a public place.

Happy Travels!
