Girls - Worldwide Chocolate Awaits You!

What two things could warm the heart of a girl wanderluster like a map that includes chocolate destinations around the globe! Bookmark ChocoMap and before you set out on your next journey, whether it’s across the planet or down the block, find out where the hottest chocolate is located.

Created by chocolatier Pam Williams, the site’s aim is to help support the growing community of chocolate makers worldwide. Pam founded Ecole Chocolat Professional School of Chocolate Arts and is the author of Oh Truffles by au Chocolate.

The map itself is powered by Google and allows you to search by city or shop name. “Pushpins” denote where in the world the shops are located. A search on my lovely Seattle brings up eight different shops. And a search on New Jersey (where I’m headed late next month) shows a chocolate shop not far from where I’ll be staying. Yippee!

In addition to the map, the site includes other great info, including interviews with top chocolatiers, information on chocolate artisans and a chocolate 101 page outlining the basics of chocolate. You can even request to have your favorite shop listed.

If only it wasn’t 7:00am, I’d be driving to my local shop RIGHT NOW!

By the way, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my friend Mary Jo’s chocolate website, Tiggrio. She’s not on the ChocoMap, but she’s on MY map. Luckily she lives close by so I’m never far from fix!
