I left yesterday on a two week road trip/book tour. My route includes Eugene and Medford, Oregon, the Mount Shasta region of Northern California and then the Bay Area where I have a number of speaking engagements.

Leaving was bittersweet. It actually might be the longest time Jon and …

Are You Breathing Just a Little?

October 15th, 2007

History of Body Piercing Around the World

September 13th, 2007

I recently had my nose pierced. Call it inspiration from my travels to India. Call it a rebellious move because my friend Marcia balked when I told her I was thinking about getting a piercing. Or call it my attempt to connect with my nieces who are young, savvy and …

Her message reminded me of a very important tip that I wanted to pass on to you, dear readers.

She needed to contact her pay-as-you-go cell phone company to add …

July 24th, 2007

A few weeks ago, Jon and I had dinner with a friend who is hopping on his bicycle and peddling south. WAY SOUTH. Over the next three years, he figures he’ll eventually make his way to South America.

After we left Dave (and his mohawk – which surely won’t fit under …
