Mediterranean Style 7 Layer Dip

If you are a fan of the southwestern style layered dip popular at North American snack parties, you may want to consider a more Mediterranean themed version.
Simply start with hummus as the base instead of refried beans, and top with layers of chopped dark greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, sliced black kalamata olives and crumbled feta cheese.
Serve with homemade crispy pita triangles. Not sure about how to proceed with those? Well, if you enjoyed my previous post on DIY Middle East croutons, simply follow the recipe only slice the pitas into triangles instead of small squares. The sumac and olive oil used for seasonings will only add to the flavor of this dip.

Oh Yum. What a great idea!
Yes, it is yummy. And vegan too, if you are into that or are hosting others who are. It’s a nice “please everyone” type of party snack.
What a great variation on an old favorite – All things Greek are wonderful – this is a winner!!
Cheers
