Make Your Travel Dollars Worth a Fortune, by Tim Leffel
This packed full of budget tips title parallels the similarities between traveling and household budgets with regards to the differences in how people spend money. For whatever reason, many do not realize similar types of strategies can work for travel that work for other areas we want to save money in, such as seasonal sales, discount retailers, rebate and rewards programs, public transportation and housing cost savings are categories that apply both to travel and regular life. Ditto for bargain shopping and cost comparison.
Many ideas and strategies covered in this book are ones my husband and I already implement, so I can personally attest to their effectiveness. Further, we were able to pick up some helpful new tips and more than a few resource suggestions were brought to our attention as well. Full of good information for the new traveler as well as the season veteran who thinks he already knows how to find all the deals. Check it out.

Thanks for the reminder about this title, Myscha. I’m always looking for tips on saving money for more traveling.
You’re welcome, Beth. I’m always on the look out for money saving tips myself, so the title appealed to me. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I was just reading an interview of Tim Leffel, travel writer and editor of the website Perceptive Travel, on the Brave New Traveler’s website.
While Tim would probably prefer that I purchase his book, he might appreciate that I’m borrowing it from my local library. You know…saving my travel dollars!
Funny! Glad you’re taking steps to increase your travel budget . . . it’s all worth it once you hit the road, isn’t it?
