To kick off the WanderFood blog, I thought it appropriate to begin with dessert.

I purchased these pastries at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. They include 2 Napoleans, 2 chocolate eclairs and a Zodel (a big, fat, fake yodel).

I was most looking forward to the Napoleans but was frankly disappointed in them. Too creamy and too sugary. I like a Napolean with a flaky crust and these just didn’t have the consistency I was looking for.

The Zodel was pretty amazing but by the time dessert came around, I couldn’t eat much of it. I like chocolate, but not in huge quantities. I never did try the eclair.

Next time, not so much dinner and more dessert, I say!
