A Mystery Dish in a Mystery Place!

I recently had the chance to explore the food scene in an unexpected location, where I attended a major event showcasing the region’s local food.

Many plates of mystery dishes

Can anyone guess where I was?

Here are a few more clues.

The rain boots have me wondering if you were overseas – it almost looks like London! Or perhaps closer to home like Vancouver?

Good guesses, everyone, but no one’s figured it out yet. @Cristina, although I was in France recently, too, that’s not where my local food adventure took place.

The ingredients—and the boots—are clues!

Keep guessing, foodies!

Hi Carolyn,
You were at Roots and Shoots Slow Food National Conference gala, held at the Enjoy Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, end May. One of the pics is of Daniel Costa, chef/owner corso 32, EnRoute Top Ten 2011.
What’s with the rubber boots? Guests were asked to wear them to celebrate gardening /growing theme.
Hope you enjoyed it!
best
