Body Cafe in Santa Fe

Body Cafe is not the kind of place that might be on the top of your restaurant list in Santa Fe. After all, who goes to Santa Fe to indulge in raw, vegan, wheat-free, dairy-free and sugar-free foods?

I did.

Well, I didn’t actually go there to do indulge in all of those things, but indulge I did when my dear friend Marcia brought me to one of her favorite restaurants, Body Cafe.

The food is wholesome, good-for-you and is centered around what you would expect from most Southwest restaurants: tacos (above), green chili stew, quesadillas and more. Mostly vegan. Much of it raw. And all of it magically delicious.

They’re tucked away in a little strip mall, so you’ll have to look hard to find them. But they’re well worth the eye strain.

Your description reminds me of a restaurant I used to go to in college. If (when) I get to Santa Fe, I’ll keep this place in mind! Thanks!

P.S. This week, my WanderFood post is pretty much the exact opposite of yours. :)
