Croissant and Laughing Cow Cheese Vietnam

Anyone who’s been to Vietnam likely recognizes the little wedges of Laughing Cow cheese that come with breads and croissants. While I can’t say that I actually “like” the cheese itself, I do find it endearing and never pass it up when I’m there.

Like you, I don’t eat Laughing Cow at home, but inevitably find myself eating on my travels, not only in South East Asia, but on many a European breakfast table as well.

You know what you’re getting, and when traveling, that sometimes exactly what one needs! :)

We keep Laughing Cow wedges in our fridge (in Texas) for a snack; funny to see them at a Vietnamese breakfast!

I wouldn’t be capable of moving past the croissant for a while. When a quarter of it remained (the part that looks like an arm flexing), I’d progress to the butter packet; it’d be nice and soft by then. The cheese wouldn’t get my attention until the foil wrapper had been spotlessly scraped clean by the last bit of croissant – then it would be too late. Who knows? I might order another! Beth, great photo. P.S. I’ve missed being here. Hard summer. Hope you are well. – Tammie

Aww, those little wedges always make me think of traveling. :-) I never eat them at home but I never pass them up when I’m abroad. :-)

Those Laughing Cow cheeses sure are great when traveling, aren’t they? I love the French influence in Cambodia, and I’m assuming it would be similar in Vietnam. Yum!

I loved the French influence in Laos when I was travelling there in 2004. The French bread was amazing. One of my favourite things was coffee with condensed milk -kind of fits with the croissant and Laughing Cow vibe! Wish we had made it to Cambodia but that’ll have to be next time.

I would have never guessed this was a Vietnamese breakfast! I’m not a big fan of the Laughing Cow, but I can see how those cute little wedges would be very appealing when traveling.

I always see that in Europe as well. I’m actually surprised to see the croissant and cheese offered as breakfast in Vietnam. That’s unexpected.

Oh wow, that looks so yummy. We always have Laughing Cow in our fridge here in the States. How I would love a nice croissant to go with it.
