Sweet Marie Gluten Free Cake

Sweet Marie’s is a 100% gluten-free bakery on Kauai, Hawaii, that serves up some of the tastiest baked goods you’ll find anywhere in the islands. Marie uses the the best gluten-free ingredients and combines them with organic, locally-grown fruits, vegetables and herbs. Marie serves up gluten-free muffins, cookies and specialty cakes.

The top photo is one Marie’s chocolate cakes (I didn’t say it was sugar-free!).

Sweet Marie's Gluten Free Cake

If my taste buds remember correctly, the above is a lilikoi (passionfruit) cheesecake.

And you can’t go to Sweet Marie’s without trying one of her very moist muffins. Arrive early in the morning and they’ll still be warm.

And Sweet Marie herself is a hoot. She’s full of energy – likely the fact that she’s gluten-free (well, there is the fact that she lives on Kauai!).

Definitely don’t miss this little bakery on your next trip to Kauai. She’s located just near the Outrigger in Kapaa.

What pretty flowers to decorate the cakes – can you eat them too or just for decoration?
