Wanderfood Wednesday: Bangkok Streetcart

Skewer Vendor in Bangkok

It’s the dead of winter and for many of us, we couldn’t even imagine eating outside (OK – except for maybe that deep fried turkey).

Anyone who’s been to Bangkok knows that every street is lined with outdoor vendors selling food of all types. This vendor was selling skewers meat and veggies – cooked up fresh on a BBQ next to the rolling cart.

It’s about 20 degrees with snow on the ground where I am and despite the fact that I’m with family (YEAH!), I would love to be in warm Thailand now enjoying some streetcart food.

Thanks for the chance to participate! The brownies are from the Rather Sweet Bakery and Cafe in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Thai street food is some of the best I have experienced. As for a white christmas, well I would much rather be in a warm climate for the holiday season. Eggnong around the fire or lazing on the beach? I know which one appeals to me.
