WanderFood Wednesday: Cambodian Baguettes
The staff of life.
While some parts of the world are busy dieting and avoiding the dreaded carbs in bread, in many regions it plays an important role. The French left behind their influence of baguettes in both Vietnam and Cambodia.
These baguettes cost about ten cents a piece when this photo was taken (no, not in the 40’s!) more than 17 years ago.
Truth be told – the only reason this is in black and white is because the film that I was using got altered in the processing of being developed. All of my images from Cambodia turned out yellow-ish. I really like this effect even though it was done simply to save some images that I loved from my time there.
