WanderFood Wednesday: Momo Heaven

Tibetan Momos

I’m the biggest momo fan. The problem is that once you’ve had them for real – and I mean like in a little hut in the Nepalese Himalayas… you’re spoiled for life.

There aren’t many places in Seattle with momos, but I discovered these recently at the Himalayan Kitchen in the Roosevelt district, just north of the University of Washington.

These are available with vegetables (above), chicken or beef and are always served with some kick-ass hot sauce where a little dab’ll do ya.

Their menu also features food from Tibet and Bhutan.

A new food for me to try. Looks delish. Sorry no photo of food accompanied my post. Eating local sure made a difference in how it tasted. Now, to go fine momos in Tucson.
