A long, long time ago, I told you I would give you some more insight into what my husband Ty and I thought of Ahnu’s Coburn boot.
Like all Ahnu shoes, the Coburn is packed with the latest technology. They use durable leathers—waterproof, of course—and a stylish rubber toe protector. (I adore the stitching and shape of the toe protectors on most of Ahnu’s hiking boots. Somehow their boots look rugged and classy at the same time.)
The tongue is gusseted to keep out water and debris. The incredibly waterproof bootie uses eVent technology, so you aren’t trudging along in a pair of sweat buckets. Ahnu’s Coburn Boot also uses Numentum technology to help guide the foot with stability while maintaining athletic forefoot flexibility, preventing stone bruising, and remaining incredibly lightweight so you can keep on hiking. In the picture above we just did a little memorial day weekend trip. We averaged eight miles a day, both grateful for our Ahnu boots.
My husband typically does not like wearing boots that go above the ankle, but when he picked out the Coburn, he decided to put that to the test. Turns out Ahnu’s Coburn Boot struck the perfect balance, providing more support for the ankle, but remaining soft enough that he didn’t feel restricted by the ankle. He found that the eVent technology did it’s job and kept his feet well ventilated.
Turns out, we’re both impressed by Ahnu’s design and technology.
Any time someone mentions needing hiking boots (or not), I preach the Ahnu gospel. I converted my husband. Who’s next?
