Seattle winters are lovelier than most people give them credit for. Take sunny days such as this for example: the cool, crisp bite of cold air on your hands and cheeks, the warm air crystalizing into steam as it exits your mouth, and the luscious feeling of bundling up into sweaters and scarves and hats and gloves. What, you might ask, is glorious about that? But this is when I encourage you to step outside into the sunlight and wipe away your preconceived notions that Seattle is interminably covered in a gauzy shroud of grey. For, as warm and thrilling are the fleeting and few days of summer here in Seattle, the golden days of winter are just as precious.
