I had a chance to tour Hyatt at Olive 8 just before it opened last year. It was the first LEED certified hotel in Seattle – this is a designation reserved for green-leaning/sustainable hotels. Hyatt at Olive 8 has incorporated energy and water-saving features and also has a green garden spot on one of the roofs which you can see from some of the rooms. (This photo is of one of the rooms.)
Of course, it also features all the cool amenities a hotel like this should include such as a pool, yoga room, gym, spa (I won a pedicure during their opening night!) and restaurant called Urbane.
It’s very centrally located in downtown Seattle, making it a perfect place to stay for out-of-towners OR for locals looking for a staycation.
So, what am I doing digging this up now?
Hyatt has just launched their Big Welcome Back promotion. For every 2-night stay, through June 30, 2010, you’ll be awarded either a free night stay (before August 31, 2010) OR 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points (which can be used for free nights, upgrades or airline miles).
So, just to get this straight… all you Hyatt and non-Hyatt Gold Passport members….
1) Make sure you’re signed up with Hyatt’s Gold Passport membership
2) Stay at any Hyatt for 2 nights prior to June 30, 2010
3) Get 1 free night (must be redeemed before August 31, 2010) OR 5,000 points added to your Gold Passport account (no expiration).
Buy 2 – Get 3 – such a deal!
Travel Well!
