Located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa is a beautiful place to stay, dine, be a tourist and indulge in some relaxing spa treatments. Whether you want to get away from it all with a romance package, bring the family for some wintery fun or enjoy a weekend with the girls, it’s the perfect place to recharge your batteries. That’s so important at this time of year, and a dose of the Christmas spirit is an added bonus!
The Christmas Farm Inn and Spa is nestled in a hillside overlooking the majestic mountains, complete with stunning waterfalls and crisp, clean air. This New England escape is the perfect blend of a cozy country inn and an upscale, luxury resort.
It’s believed to have been built in 1778 – official records were destroyed in an 1886 courthouse fire – as a farmhouse. In 1883, new owners decided to convert it into an inn to supplement their farming business, and it was so successful the owner expanded by moving and attaching an abandoned church to the inn! The Inn has withstood many ownership changes and is now a New England mainstay.
Enjoy cross-country or downhill skiing, an Austrian sleigh ride and all the quaint offerings of Jackson Village. Children will enjoy visiting nearby Santa’s Village and Storyland. It’s the perfect vacation destination for people of all ages!
Rooms with country charm
Each room here is unique and exudes its own character, featuring folk art, family heirlooms and antique-shop finds. The main inn features a cozy living room with a crackling fireplace, a play area for children, a library and the Mistletoe Pub. The inn is surrounded by gorgeous gardens, which you can enjoy from the front porch while kicking back with a hot drink.
In addition to standard rooms and suites, you can stay in the adjacent 1778 Saltbox, which features rooms with seasonal names like Mistletoe, Noel and Sugar and Spice. You can also relax in one of eight charming, handcrafted cabins, each with its own personality. Dotting the hillside of a country lane, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time into an old-fashioned, New England village. You can even stay in a converted barn, with spacious suites perfect for families or small groups of friends.
Dining in style
The Restaurant at Christmas Tree Farm specializes in classic New England fare. Dinner entrees include Green Apple Bourbon Strip Steak, Pan-Seared Salmon with Champagne Sauce, Chicken and Sausage Pesto and a classic Lobster Roll. If you plan to be there for Christmas, a special menu is planned that includes a tossed salad, entrée and dessert for $35.
The inn’s cozy pub features seasonal martinis and cocktails, and in the summertime you can belly up to the Cabana Bar, which is located next to the outdoor swimming pool.
