Hi Liz,
Thanks for your comments on "Lunch with a Lama." Tibet was an amazing place and seeing Mt. Everest, a dream come true. Some day I hope to visit again. I wrote a couple posts about Tibet where I mention Everest:

http://wanderlustandlipstick.com/blogs/pamperspakhlava/2009/05/01/the-reward-is-the-journey/

..and I also wrote this post, though it is more about Lhasa: http://wanderlustandlipstick.com/blogs/pamperspakhlava/2010/01/20/wanderfood-wednesday-a-monk-and-a-fish/

I don't have a post about <em>being </em>at Base Camp (and we were on the Tibet side so "base camp" is still a day or more hike to the actual base of the mountain itself) but I could write one ;)

I stopped over from She Writes and my eye was drawn immediately to "Mount Everest" in your tag cloud. I love reading about Mt. Everest. This is a wonderful story. Do you have a post about base camp? I didn't find one by clicking the tag. Don't leave me here! Get me all the way to base camp!

Two years in SE Asia...you got to experience_living_ there! Lucky you! My hubby is a software developer and had to go to Beijing to complete a work project. He'd always wanted to see the Himalayas and I figured this might be our only chance. Plus, we'd already have a Chinese visa. It was a magical trip, not nearly long enough, and we both hope to go back one day...we talk about it all the time. Mongolia is on my list too, as is Nepal.
