I know I’ve been quiet for a few weeks now, which as a blogger is a major no-no.
Truth is, I have an excellent excuse.
I’ve been guiding whitewater rafting, fly-fishing and sea kayaking trips up in rural and rugged Chilko Lake, British Columbia for ROAM Adventures. Our head camp, lovingly called Bear Camp (as it’s in the heart of bear country), is a nature lovers’ dream. Four hours from the nearest supermarket, (two hours from the nearest paved road), ground zero for us consists of six african safari tents, fourteen feet off the ground in an intricate treehouse design. Photos to come soon I promise.
With running hot water and gourmet food served every meal, it’s glamping at it’s best. (Glamour + camping = glamping).
I’m afraid I won’t be posting too much in the next few weeks, as I’m heading up to guide our 11-day river expedition on the Tatshenshini river in British Columbia near Alaska. But here are some photos of what my last few weeks have looked like.
Adventure On,
Joslin
