32/52 Photo of the Week (Dream a Little Dream)

“Dream a little dream for me!”

This picture was taken at a subway stop on the 4/5/6 train in NYC. I love the detailed tile work, and the colors are a great way to liven up a dark, dingy subway station. This is just a small section of a larger piece, but I like the composition of the coffee mug with the words floating out in the steam.

Fabulous photo! I don’t think they had all these lovely mosaics when I lived in NYC in the 80’s. Mostly, it was just dirt.

What a nice mosaic to have in an underground station! There should be more pretty sights like that to distract people from the otherwise dingy stations.
