31/52 Photo of the Week (Semuc Champey, Guatemala)

Just getting to Semuc Champey is challenging and time-consuming. But the rewards of this remote, picturesque village in the highlands of Guatemala were well worth the effort.

Where else can you swim in the river alongside a cow? (Yes, this really did happen!)

Moooooooooove it and adventure on,

Kristen

They say the best places are the ones difficult to access. Don’t knwo who first laid claim to this, but it is true. This place is stunning.

There’s a lot going on there…hills, water, livestock, shelter and foliage! That’s a great perspective.

I’m not so sure about swimming with cows, but this looks like a great place to spend some time just relaxing.
