Paradise Island Atlantis
Visiting Paradise Island would never be considered a discount vacation, but in the summer months this resort does offer some deals that make the normally impossible more affordable than usual. For starters The Atlantis is running a special right now called the Ultimate Paradise Package. For the most reasonable package a couple can have three nights in a terrace room in the Beach Tower with flights on Bahama Air (I chose Orlando for my departure location) with round trip transfers to the hotel and two meals daily at some outstanding restaurants. The package meal plan is a huge savings for any visitor. This provides guests with two restaurant choices for breakfast and several restaurant choices for dinner; including one fine dining restaurant where tables overlook the marine exhibit. When I viewed the website and the menu’s for the many restaurants within the resort I found the prices to be quite high so having this inclusive plan that includes full meals at a variety of restaurants during your stay is a wonderful savings! The total package which I priced out for a three night stay was $1,826.64 for two people inclusive of flights, room, transfers, food and the resort extras.

Atlantis is one of my favorite family destinations and a couples escape too (the new Cove area). The sea life kept my toddler entertained and provided an educational component to the vacation. Each night from our balcony she would say “good night sharks”; “good night sting rays”! Very cute! The restaurant variety and entertainment is impressive. The meal plan is advisable if you’re a 3-meal a day family…we did not take it as we brought some snack bars, and other items. Oh, and there is nothing “lazy” about the lazy river. It’s complete with rapids and waves. Atlantis is a vacation in itself and one that is worthy of repeat visits for years to come.
