Dear Global Snapshots Readers,
After nine months of constant pain and six re-injuries, in May I had surgery on my Achilles Tendon. It was my intention to take a week or two off from blogging as I recovered. That week or two has grown into more than a month due to post-surgery blood clots and an extended hospital stay.
I spent much of the many long days in the hospital taking macro shots of flowers and learning more about my iPhone’s camera capabilities. It’s amazing to me the power that our imagination has to repair and rejuvenate our bodies! Once again, my passion for photography keeps me sane and helps me understand the world around me.
For now, healing is the focus of my days. I am learning to walk again and I am slowly regaining my strength and stamina.
Global Snapshots will be back in business in mid July. Here’s a peek at some coming-soon posts:
– two camera bag reviews: one posh, preppy bag and one rugged Indiana-Jones-esq bag
– a review of new camera accessories
– two summer camera tutorials: one on taking magical photos of lightning bugs and another on bicycle-mounted camera fun
– a discussion of manual vs. automatic focus
In Joy,
Melinda Eliza
