Features: The Acme Made moto is “designed protection.” The Union Photo Messenger is made of a sleek waterproof, durable material aptly called “bombshell technical fabric.” I like the sound of that – it conjures images of me and my bombshell technical fabric bag jumping out of a plane to shoot the Paris streets at night. Aside from its cool name, it’s also easy to clean, strong, and pliable enough that it lies comfortably against your side or at your hip. The shape of the bag is unusual – definitely not your normal rectangular camera bag design. It’s trapezoidal shape allows for a surprising amount of gear. The bag also features two zippered accessory pockets and a small, specially designed side pocket created just for your lens cap. I recently dropped my lens cap, forgot all about it as I went off to shoot, and then promptly ran it over with my MINI about an hour later so this little detail is a favorite with me – very smart.
Fit: Room for your DSLR with an attached lens and an extra lens or a speed light, plus a few accessories such as a thin wallet and your lipstick. The front pocket features mesh organizers for media cards and batteries.

Review: [rating system = 1-5 with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor]
- Sex Appeal: If your idea of sex appeal runs to the tight, black, fetishy-tough look of Trinity in the Matrix movies then yes indeed, this bag has sex appeal! I really like the jaunty look of the diagonal zipper pocket in the front – such a simple detail and yet it really adds to the look of the bag. [4.0]
- Sport Appeal: Sporty and bold – made for modern swashbucklery. [4.0]
- Day-tripping: It doesn’t get much better than this – truly a great value. [4.0] Check out this Acme Made blog entry and video featuring San Francisco Street Photographer and Acme Bag carrier Travis Jensen: http://blog.acmemade.com/2011/05/04/sf-inspired-travis-jensen/
- World-trekking: Not designed for travel with a lot of heavy gear, but if your tastes are spartan, you could make it work. [3.0]
- Wearablility & Comfort: Very comfortable and compact. When I put my gear in it and close it up, I’m surprised at how small the bag looks.
- Dimensions: 13.0″L—-8.75’”H—-6.25’”D

- Comments from women: 90% positive! It’s not very girlie but it’s just right for the sporty-sophisticate.
- Comments from men: 100% positive – could be worn well by either men or women.
- Drawbacks: The size of the bag is too small for a big shoot.
- Highlights: Waterproof and light with a cool lens-cap pocket.
