This was taken during one of my favorite vacations where we spent two days trekking mountain goriilas in Rwanda. We were amazed at how much their facial expressions and interactions reminded us of humans.

It is definitely worth the trip and ranks as one of my favorite places. Lovely people and of course the gorillas are incredible. Unfortunately, if you want to see them, you should go soon as they are increasingly endangered by village life and poachers.

Amazing to see these guys in the wild. I don’t see us getting to go there in person any time soon, but I do have some wonderful Rwandan baskets that I can enjoy meanwhile, I guess…

I’ll bet the baskets are beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the markets there. We spent all of our time with these guys.
