Sushi in India!

YEEESSSSS!

I’ve mentioned several times on this blog that I miss sushi.  I eat it at least 3-4 times a week back in NYC.  The past 4 months have been hard, very hard.  (Pity me, pity me)

Japanese food IS available in Chennai, but alost exclusively in the Western hotels (translation: it’s very expensive).  Imagine my happiness when my roommate mentioned a place he knows that’s good AND affordable!    He coordinated a group outing last night.  The sushi wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it certainly did the trick.  And I successfully ate raw fish in India without getting food poisoning.  Awesome!  Needless to say, I was a happy camper. :)

(Mom, my craving is still there… please continue to plan to bring sushi take out with you when you pick me up from the airport!  Thanks. :) )

This post is part of the WanderFood Wednesday series.  Happy eating!

Brilliant stuff. As an Indian born New yorker who has been in India for 4 very long months, I share your cravings. Can you share the name of this restaurant and who runs this place? Pretty please, I promise not to raid the kitchen.
