Photo Friday: Marina Beach
I had some time to kill a couple weeks back before my NGO held a sunset street performance at Chennai’s Marina Beach. It’s such a great place to people watch. The weather is beautiful, you’re by the ocean, and families and friends are out and about. Vendors are set up all over the place—near the statues, on an informal boardwalk area, and directly on the beach.
Here’s a shot from that afternoon that I like. I think it conveys a bit about the scene, which I find so vibrant and colorful!

This post is part of Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday. Have a great weekend!

This does look like an excellent spot for people watching! I’d love to hear more about your sunset street performance… when these folks were watching you!
fantastic photo! i love the colors and the horlicks boost cart!
Not me actually! The performers were adolescent girls involved in the NGO’s advocacy work. They did a terrific job! Here’s the post I wrote about it: http://wanderlustandlipstick.com/blogs/abroadvolunteers/2010/01/29/photo-friday-chennai-street-performance/. I added this link above as well.
