Signing books at 2008 New York Times Travel Show
Quick calendar update here.
I’ll be speaking in a couple of weeks at the New York Times Travel Show at the Jacob Javits Center. I’ll be part of a panel on Sunday, February 8th on how to make your WILD travel dreams a reality. My topic is India and others will be talking about Cambodia, Iceland and Costa Rica. These destinations – wild? Well, I don’t know ’bout that, but wherever you go, you can make it wild.
The speaker lineup throughout the weekend is awesome. Be sure to see Andrew Zimmern from the Food Network who’ll eat just about anything from any market in the world. And, speaking of food, New York Times columnist, Mark Bittman, will be speaking about the topic and the impact of your food choices on the planet. I’ve heard him on several radio interviews and he’s quite a New Yorker, in a good way, of course. He’s sure to entertain…
Pauline and Arthur Frommer (yes he’s still kicking) will be speaking about travel in troubled times and Patricia Shultz will be showing off some slides about the 1,000 places that should be on your bucket list.
Shortly after returning from NYC, I’ll be headed to the Bay Area where I’ll be conducting travel workshops (for men AND women) at three REI’s. If you’re in the ‘hood, stop in on either February 17th, 18th or 19th to one of these FREE two-hour events.
Stay posted as I may be in DC for the Adventures in Travel Expo on February 21st.
Wherever you are, stop on in and let me know you’re a Wanderluster!
Travel Well!
