Greetings, Wanderluster!
I just returned from the most amazing weekend in San Francisco at the Women’s Travel Fest (WTF). I was honored to be among some fantastically inspiring speakers as well as hundreds of women excited by the prospect of pursuing their dream trips. Next year’s WTF will be in New York and I hope to see you there! (P.S. Here I am with some of “my” peeps, WanderBloggers, Trupti and Samantha.)
Our big tour news is that we’ve just announced the 2016 Papua New Guinea Mt. Hagen tour. We only have space for 10 and have already sold a few spots so if you’re interested, register today!
Don’t forget to stay updated on my whereabouts and experiences by friending me on Facebook and Liking our WaL and WanderTours Facebook pages.

On the Bookshelf
Food Truck Road Trip
by Kim Pham and Philip Shen
I’m a relative newcomer to the food truck craze, probably because I’m a vegetarian. None-the-less, I have found these a great way to get to know a city and now seek them out when I travel. I was so happy to find this book which is a cross between a guidebook and recipe book with more than 100 recipes from food trucks around the U.S.
In the iPod
The Paris Session by Idan Raichel and Vieux Farka Toure
I’m already a HUGE Idan Raichel fan, but this might be my favorite CD of all. It’s a collaboration between him and the fantastic Malian guitarist, Vieux Farka Tour. The blend of their talent is truly magical.
In the DVD
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
I really enjoyed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and the sequel is equally as good (well, maybe better given Richard Gere’s role). It’s an inspirational flick that reminds us it’s never too late for fun and love. I got a to enjoy a sneak preview of this movie that hits theaters on March 6. Here’s my full review.
WanderGear Review
Goal Zero Flip 10
I love Goal Zero more now that they’ve come out with the Flip 10 phone recharger. The flip tip plugs directly into a USB connection to power up and is lightweight, compact and easy to slip into a purse or pocket. Read more here…
