Hola Wanderluster!
I know. You’re probably buried in snow right now and here I am just back from Cabo San Lucas. If it makes you feel any better, I was researching stories (I SWEAR!) for both my site and for the Expedia Viewfinder blog. Well, somebody’s gotta do it, right?
Closer to home…I’ll be speaking at the Women’s Travel Fest in San Francisco on February 28. Tix for the event are still available so if you’re in the area, let’s connect!
In website news, we just launched our mobile site. Be sure to check us out on your phone or tablet as it’s now super easy to navigate through all your favorite bloggers and stories. And if YOU’RE interested in writing for us, check out what sort of contributors we’re looking for.
Space is tight but there are spots left on each of our spring culinary tours. Come with me to New Orleans, Santa Fe or Seattle. These tours are filling up fast so if you’re interested, e-mail me today!
Also, please stay updated on my whereabouts and experiences, I’m most active on Facebook, so please friend me there.

On the Bookshelf
The Big Picture by Tony Horton
Hopefully you already know that I’m a big P90X fan. Well, this book is by the guy behind P90X, Tony Horton. And it’s a fabulous book to kickstart anyone into wanting to get in better shape and lead a healthier life. If I could, I would buy a copy of it for every one of you – that’s how important I think this book is for every human being.
In the iPod
Rough Guide to Music Without Frontiers
This double CD includes groups considered part of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO). In other words indigenous, minorities and unrecognized peoples in occupied territories. I love that Rough Guides is supporting these very talented peoples with this mix. You may not recognize the artists (I was only familiar with one) but you’ll love this none-the-less.
In the DVD
Spirit of the Marathon
As someone now training for a marathon (the Honolulu in December), I’m trying to get my eyes,
ears and hands on anything to provide me with inspiration. This documentary follows 5 runners in the Chicago Marathon and includes interviews with many knowledgeable and experienced runners. Just the right antidote to get you up off the couch and, if not run, at least shake your booty 🙂
