Hello, Wanderluster!
I got called a Power Ranger this week. Ilike that. The term has so many connotations, doesn’t it? I decided I’d be MegaRanger Sky. She’s the most girly of the bunch and the most appropriate one given the amount of time I spend flying! Plus she totally fits in with this year’s theme of Be Bold. Watch. Out. World!
SPEAKING GIGS
I’m so thrilled to be speaking at the Women’s Travel Fest in New York City on March 8and at the Travel and Adventure Show in San Diego on March 29. Both of these gigs are sponsored by Expedia. If you’re near either city, mark your calendar and come on out to say “Hi.” We may even have a fun doorprize for you 🙂

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom Soundtrack
You’ve probably heard the U2 song Ordinary Love from this soundtrack but most of the other tunes will likely be new to you (as they were for me). There’s a wide mix of musicians on this CD, from Bob Marley to Art Blakey, from The Havana Swingsters to The Manhattan Brothers. As with all soundtracks, it’s a bit disjointed if you’re listening to it from start to finish, but I think listening to it as a compilation of songs that are significant to Mandela’s philosophy might just turn you on to some new musicians.
