Leslie Darling
Leslie Darling is a consultant, writer, and hopeless wanderer, who became smitten with adventure early on while reading her mother’s well-thumbed copy of Richard Halliburton’s Complete Book of Marvels. Since then, she has walked (and sat) in the footsteps of the Buddha throughout India and Nepal, raced outrigger canoes across open ocean, researched Spinner Dolphins in Hawaii, and climbed in mountains from Snowdonia to the Rockies, the Alps to the Cascades, the Appalachians to the Munros to the Wai`anaes. She has driven tens of thousands of miles driving solo across the United States and Canada–once with a borrowed dog. She has often dived alongside sharks and turtles in the Florida Keys, and has descended over 200 feet to explore a sunken, three-masted Windjammer (with a crow’s nest!) off the Netherlands Antilles. Twice. While she is relentlessly social in real life, she protects her electronic privacy with unusual vigor. She does not Twitter. She loves animals and believes in reincarnation. She adores Parisians.
