Pinterest Winner and Other Great Boards ~ Photo of the Day

With more than 200 people submitting boards and more than 35,000 Repins and Likes (combined), it was very hard to decide on a winner for the Wanderlust and Lipstick & Expedia Find Yours Pinterest Contest.

But choose we must.

As a reminder, boards were judged on number of Repins (25%) number of Likes (25%) and how well their pinned images fit their theme.

The winning board is from Silvia Ledon. Her board, Peaceful Pleasures, has a combination of being visually stunning and received more than 725 Repins and Likes. Though there were SO many really wonderful boards, Silvia’s was one of the best we came across. Hope you agree.

Earmark Social Bridgette S.B. has a runner up board that incorporated an unbelievable (and I mean truly unbelievable) number of Repins and Likes (nearly 24,000!). Her Back in Time board is original and ethereal. It was so difficult to choose between these 2 top boards and we were so impressed with Bridgette’s number of Repins and Likes, that we awarded her a $500 Expedia Coupon for her board!

But there were so many other fantastic boards that deserve a shout out…

I have to admit that Destination Kaleidoscope by Brooklyn Yun was right up there as a favorite for me. Poor gal just didn’t have Likes or Repins to bring her total score up. Seriously, peruse that one and you’ll never look at Pinterest the same way again.

With her Sky’s the Limit board, Olena J. came up with some interesting photos that inspire reaching for the stars, the moon and the sky.

Venia’s Horizons board, is a round-the-world journey of wide open landscapes.

Lauren Kinsey’s Find Yourself board just made me smile with its whimsical and happy photos.

Ancient Adventures from Stephanie Bishop explores architecture and natural wonders.

And if it’s tropical food and drinks you’re after, Katie Kobeylenski has a board called Tropical Relaxation.

Elena Tobin has a great story with her board, Smell the sea and feel the sky-Honeymoon Dreamin’. She had hoped to win a honeymoon for she and her new husband. Sorry, Elena. I hope you two find a wonderful alternative to celebrate your nuptials!

Harlowgold has a wonderful Safari Board. What I liked about hers was the use of old and new images and some that seem to be from film clips. Very interesting…

So you can see, the judging was NOT easy but I have to admit it was a tremendous amount of fun for me to look through all of the boards. And, seriously, I will never view Pinterest the same way again. I had no idea that one could do so many creative things with a board.

Thanks to all who took the time to enter and spent time curating a Wanderlust and Lipstick & Expedia Find Yours board that I know I’ll go back to time and again. This eye candy will draw me back, I know.
