Santa Fe: Photo of the Day

New Mexico Window

I’m getting really excited about our Santa Fe Culinary Tour in September and did some poking around on Flickr for some photos that I think are pretty representative of this mystical part of the country.

It seems that anywhere you look in Santa Fe/Albuquerque/Taos, you see brightly colored, decorated homes and storefronts like the window above.

Chili peppers in Santa Fe

Chili peppers abound as well. In the fall, you’ll see (and smell) hatch chillies being roasted at the markets and in parking lots.

Chimayo

I love venturing out to Chimayo. This little church, located about 25 miles north of Santa Fe, is a mecca for locals and tourists. It’s considered a healing site and many people visit to pray.

Chimayo Guadalupe

The Chimayo region is also know for its chillies. Obviously they are blessed :-)

Adobe building in santa fe

What I love most about this region are all the adobe buildings. On a clear day with blue skies, nothing beats this area, but I love the look any time of year.

I’ve got 4 spots left for the Santa Fe tour. Join us!

Travel Well,

Beth
