Briggs & Riley BRX Explore Upright

It’s time to announce June’s contest! This month you have 3 chances to win a BRX Explore 19 Upright carry-on bag from Briggs & Riley!

Yup, three chances to win and it only takes a moment.

1. Subscribe to the Wanderlust and Lipstick Newsletter during the month of June and you’ll be automatically entered.

2. Subscribe to my RSS feed (at right) via email or in a reader. If you subscribe in a reader, leave me a comment below stating that you’ve subscribed. Please leave your email address (not made public) so that I can contact you if you’re the winner.

3. AND for those of you who are already subscribers, I’ve HEARD you. I know that you, too, want a way to be in the running. Simply leave a comment below (with your email address) and let me know to what exciting destination you would take your Briggs & Riley BRX Explore 19 Upright and why.

Check back here in early July to find out who the lucky one is. Winner will have 3 days to respond once being contacted.

Subscribe to the newsletter and the RSS feed, AND leave a separate comment about where you would bring your bag and you’ll have 3 chances to win!

So, what’s so special about the BRX Explore 19 Upright?

This bag weighs less than 7 pounds, making it one of the lightest wheeled uprights on the market! While Briggs & Riley states that this is good for a 2-3 day trip… you know me. I could live a month in this little case! HA HA.

  • With a handle system on the outside, it allows for more space on the inside
  • Nylon compression panels allow you to flatten your items inside
  • Includes inside pocket as well as as front and exterior pockets for items you need to get to quickly
  • Front compartment stores a 16 inch laptop

Value: $260

This contest closes at 11:59 pm PST on June 30, 2010 and one lucky winner will be chosen on July 1, 2010.

Please note that Briggs & Riley is only able to ship to the U.S. and Canada only.

Travel Well,

Beth

I’m already an RSS subscriber – I don’t have any exciting travel plans lined up yet, but I am completely in the market for a new carry-on and this looks great. For right now I guess Philadelphia is as exciting as I have!

I’m already a subscriber. I’d love to take this on my honeymoon to the Maldives and Bali. Briggs & Riley is my absolute favorite brand of suitcases – introduced to me after an old suitcase fell apart on one of my flights cross-country to college. This will allow me to keep traveling light while still providing space for my laptop.

I would love to take the luggage on the Vietnam/Cambodia tour. I won’t be able to go until 2012 or 2013, after I retire. But am really intrigued by all your tours and hope to be able to eventually do several.

Not sure if I_can_enter, but if I could we are seriously hankering for a bag just like this to take on our trip when we get our adoption referral (soon, we’ve been told, soon) to ‘register’ our child.

I love to travel, but my carry-on is finally getting worn out, plus it’s too heavy for me to easily lift into the luggage bins on airplanes. If I win, I would take this bag with me for a trip to Australia, or to Antarctica, whichever comes first!

I m taking a group around France for the month of October. We ll be on barges, busses, trains and planes. From upscale hotels to hostels and I need one bag to live out of this entire time that I (only slightly larger than Beth) can use and carry for the entire month.
The Briggs & Riley BRX Explore 19 Upright looks like the answer.

This would be the perfect accessory to enable me to travel light to Figi! Let’s see: a bathing suit (or two), sarong, sandals, shorts and a couple of tees. I’ve got everything folded, now I just need a suitcase. Hmmm….

I would take this to my trip to Turkey with DePaul University’s Turkish Intercultural Club this December. We plan to be there for 10 days. We are studying Turkish now. We will stay with families and visit Istanbul & at least 2 other cities. I will need a good small bag to get around. We are not planning to bring much. (it is better to underpack than to overpack!) Thank you!

I attended the World Forum for the Education of Young Children about 5 years ago. My daughter joined me in Montreal and explored the city while I joined EC educators from over 80 countries at the forum. We plan to return to explore & discover what else the city offers while revisiting favorite places we found on our first trip. I would love to win. It would be perfect for my daughter. She currently uses just a backpack. With the current travel restrictions & security, she is always pulled aside for extra checking. They see a young adult female who packs light without the usual luggage or extras & she raises alarms. Having “real” luggage might make her more “normal”. The Briggs & Riley BRX Explore 19 Upright would be perfect for her. It is light weight, has wheels, looks goodt & still hold everything she needs.

:) I am saving to study in Perth right now, and the bag will be my ideal companion when I go on month-long road trips around Oz during the vacations. It looks like it has all the compartments I need and best of all, it is in classic black – my favourite colour which means it will not look dirty so easily. Thanks for the nice offer :)

Thanks for the offer to win such a great carry-on. I’m 68 but still quite active and travel frequently (both with and without my trail horses). I would LOVE to have a lighter weight carry-on and would greatly appreciate a lighter weight bag for lifting to the overhead airline storage racks…

I plan to let the Briggs and Riley bag “carry” me on…In other words, I am in the midst of planning my first solo trip for August. Am considering a variety of destinations including Morocco, Italy, France or Thailand. This is a last minute vacation opportunity that I desperately need to take advantage of. As I was researching my options, I came across your inspiring website and am now even more motivated to get my travel plans under way. I only wish your tour dates fell in August. Perhaps I will explore customizing my trip with you if this is possible.
