I’ve been back in Vietnam for just over a week and my group and I have seen a tremendous amount in that short time. We’ve traveled from Hanoi to Mai Chau (to visit the hilltribes) and just arrived in Hue after an overnight train ride.

Here are some of the amazing people we’ve seen along the way.
Vietnam_HilltribeBoy

This young boy from a hilltribe village near Mai Chau is wearing amulets around his neck that are believed to protect him from bad spirits.Vietnam_Baby

This little baby is wrapped in a cloth that is hand made in the village where he’s from. Many of the clothes that the women wear are made from this same pattern.

Vietnam_Boat

We took a short boat ride in order to get to an area where we had a beautiful (but hot) walk through some riverside villages.

Vietnam_Guard

This gentleman was standing guard at Ho Chi Minh’s home near the Presidental Palace.

I like the amulets that little boy is wearing. The cloth pattern is also beautiful. Thanks for sharing! :)

What gorgeous babies! You did a great job of capturing them. I’ve never been to Viet Nam, but would love to visit. Thanks for the photos.
