At any given time, I usually have an intern or two helping me out with Wanderlust and Lipstick projects. They get to learn about travel writing and the business side of travel and I get help from some really cool gals who are studying or working in areas where my skills might be a little rusty (writing press releases and creating videos, for example). Kjirsten, from Portland, is one of the gems that recently started helping me out.
(By the way, I’m always interested in hearing from you if YOU ARE interested in interning with me.)
A couple of weeks ago she told me about a project she was working on – a video application for the Student Travel Association’s (STA) 2009 summer internship. I was totally intrigued and couldn’t wait to see her video. Here it is….
Though I thought hers was pretty funny, unfortunately, Kjirsten didn’t make it into the top 20. Of the top 20 picked by STA, here are a few of the more innovative ones that I liked:
Zach Swee
Chris Danner
Lindsay Clark
Jordan Hawes
Travel Well and best of luck to all the applicants!

Looks like you were 2 for 2 on your assumptions for the World Traveler Interns!
