Cao Dai Temple in Vietnam
The Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh, Vietnam, is one of the most impressive religious buildings I’ve seen. The religion itself draws upon Christianity, Taoism and Buddhism to form an interesting mix that states that God presides over all beings and that the Goddess, Mother Buddha (a male), also oversees all beings. But before God (created by the Big Bang) there was Tao. Saints include Victor Hugo and Shakespeare. And followers have supposedly included novelist Graham Greene.
It’s complicated. And this post is meant to be focused on a photo. But you can read more about Cao Daiism for a more in depth look at this interesting religion.
