When I was in San Diego last weekend for the Travel Goods Show, I had some time to tour around the town a bit before coming home to Seattle. After soaking up some sun, listening to the ocean crashing against the shoreline in La Jolla and driving around the Mission District near Old Town, I was ready to move there! Here are some highlights of my mini-tour.
La Jolla Cove – just north of San Diego
Church in La Jolla
Shop with Frida Kahlo mini-pics
Terra cotta suns
By the way – I have to give a big THANKS to Carol and Nils who let me crash on their couch for a couple of nights in SD. They were lovely hosts and another example of how awesome couchsurfing is for bringing together unlikely connections.

Yes, La Jolla is a magical place! I wrote about it in my blog two weeks ago. Spent some time there, recently, with an old friend, and we walked the beaches from Windnsea to Black’s Beach, Torrey Pines, the works. You really captured those cliffs, Beth.
Thanks, Meg
