Seattle Sunrise
I went for an early morning walk today. The sun was still low in the sky and there were few cars on the roads. I could hear hummingbirds chirp, attracted to the beautiful gardens in my neighborhood.
As much as I appreciate living in Seattle…
And as much as I appreciate the fact that we’re now having the summer we didn’t get in July or August…

Oh, how I wanted to be walking along the beach and enjoying breakfast at a beachside cafe.
Instead, I returned home and sipped tea that I brought home from Darjeeling, India. Not a bad alternative, but still…

That quetzal photo is stunning! Nothing really compares to the diverse lovliness of Costa Rica, I agree. But at least you’re in Seattle! I’m in Chicago. Snow will be falling any day now. And all the tropical travels that I make can’t change that!

We were fortunate to have spotted that quetzal in the Monteverde cloud forest. That and about 100 hummingbirds!
